Nicole and Travis had a wonderful wedding today! In the early afternoon we arrived at the Hilton and entered into Nicole’s room where she was getting ready to the Austin skyline through the window of her 25th floor room. Soon as I saw this out of the window I had the first shot below in mind.

Their ceremony was beautiful at the Central Presbyterian Church in downtown Austin. After a few pictures were snapped, the happy couple were whisked down the street to the Austin Club for their reception. The Austin Club is one of my favorite places for a wedding reception! The food is excellent and the staff really seems to care.

The wedding was coordinated by Tammy of Sparkling Engagements who I can not recommend highly enough. Having a coordinator makes a wedding easier for the bride and groom but also for the photographer and everyone else who won’t have to bug the bride with a question. The cake was from the best cake maker in town, Simon Lee. I could eat until I passed out it is so very good.

After the reception the bride and groom got in a carriage and went to the Capital where we shot the pictures below.

I figured I should start adding a picture of myself into the final cut I give my clients in homage to Alfred Hitchcock.

Here are some of the more interesting shots from our company Christmas card shoot shot at the park near the Palmer Event Center near Ladybird Lake.  Special thanks to my friend Matt Crow who came down to pull the shutter for us and help us carry the obscenely heavy bags of gear up the hill to the location. It was an exhausting shoot! Every time I get in front of the camera I just feel like the life is being sucked out of me. Thank God the results are worth it!  Thanks to JoElla Thompson for hair and make-up!

This is our Christmas card from 2003, the last time a serious amount of effort was put into a card.
