  • Wes and Kina are getting married in September in Colorado. Wes is in flight school in Del Rio while Kina is here in Austin. Every weekend, Kina and Wes are able to see each other when the military give Wes a little break. This weekend they decided to get their engagements done at the Capitol and down in SOCO. It was a beautiful day though very windy for part of the shoot.

I’ve seen so many people shoot pictures against this wall and this is my first time getting down here to shoot. What a cool wall!

If you’ve never tried the cupcakes at Hey Cupcake they are very tasty! Austin certainly has a variety of amazing foods to eat!

Aaron is a freelance music and entertainment writer here in Austin, though I don’t think he really writes for anyone local. Unless, SPIN magazine, Revolver, The Onion A.V. Club, Babble.com, Alternative Press, Metal Edge, or Blurt Online are local. He needed a head shot because he edited a book of interviews done by students with famous musicians and was going to have his picture in the back of the book . Funny thing is that Aaron’s son is a good friend of my son so we just shot all of this at his house with the kids screaming in the backyard. Good times.

My hairstylist, Samantha, (yes I have a hair stylist), has a salon in Georgetown and she was doing a little advertising and needed a creative image to make sure that people knew that the ladies in her salon were fun and do cool haircuts.  We shot Samamntha’s wedding in July and have been having our haircuts done there since then.  It also ended up that I needed to do the ad design because Samantha wasn’t totally sure how to produce a press ready .eps file. I love designing stuff for advertising! Awesome fun!

It is just amazing doing a maternity portrait and then doing a newborn shot of the little baby that was in there! How miraculous that we all start out like this! Elizabeth has to be one of the sweetest babies I have ever seen. She is just a few days old here, and you can see that Mom and Dad are helplessly in love with her.
