Travis Gagnon – Photographer
Travis’ first word was ‘picture’.
But, Travis’ most influential years were in a small house in Lancaster, Calif. where he lived with his mother, brother and grandmother. It was an old adobe house in the middle of nowhere. In the far distance an occasional house dotted the landscape, but for the most part there was nothing else. There wasn’t anything to do except read or play with his brother. On very rare occasions the family would go to the movies and he was just astounded at what they put on film and watched the movies with un-blinking glee. This is where Travis’ visual prowess began.
In 1994 he bought his first camera. In 1999 he decided to attend university for photojournalism and picked up a job as he finished college as a photojournalist for a newspaper. He really loved shooting pictures for the paper and even won an Associated Press Award for pictures of the biscuit fire but found the schedule and lack of artistic freedom to be too confining and opened a studio to photograph weddings, portraits, and commercial on his own.
He delved into books and the internet day and night learning everything he could about photography and how to create something that looked better than life. People are Travis’ chosen subject for pictures and weddings, engagements, bridal and seniors are what he specializes in.
In 2006 Travis brought his style and personality to Austin, Texas where he continue to photograph weddings, portraits and commercial work. He loves every second of everything he is privileged to shoot. He is truly blessed to have such a job!

Christina Gagnon – Photographer
Christina grew up in Southern Oregon in a family of very brilliant people. She started college at 16, pursuing a degree in computer science but she found her true calling when she was 25 and Travis put a camera in her hands and told her she could do it. Since then Christina has grown under Travis’ tutelage as a photographer and she has become a very talented photographer in her on right with her own style.
Travis is the love of Christina’s life. She met Travis when she was 10-years-old and knew there was something special about him. They were friends for years and at some point they knew they were inseparable and began dating. They were meant to be together.
They got married on March 21st, 1998 and have been on a great adventure since then. Christina accepts very few photographic commissions and spends most of her time raising Edmond and Corbin, the couples little boys. Christina specializes in maternity, baby/newborn, and lifestyle children and family portraits.
Megan Smith – Assistant Photographer
Megan is a very creative young lady who visited Travis for her own senior portraits in 2008. Later that year she approached Travis’ asking for a portfolio review of some of her own work and she has been working with Travis since then. She has a very good eye for light and improves her work very quickly as she assists Travis on all sorts of photographic projects including his 2009 artistic sabbatical where he used Megan as a subject for seven days of shooting to hone his skills. She is an invaluable member of Travis Gagnon Photography.
