Musicians: Gabriella and Jordan’s Music promotional shoot in Austin!
Garbiella and Jordan are very talented young sibling musicians and needed some promo photographs for future gigs and printed materials. People in the music business allow me to be very creative and indulge some of the ideas that just wouldn’t fly at a wedding or other kind of shoot. We started at the studio then moved downtown to the Long Center. I’d never shot in front of the Long Center before but was happy to explore what the location had to offer. It certainly has a fantastic view of the city and I hear the place also offers one of it’s glass enclosed wings for weddings or other events. I’ve shot both Gabriella and Jordan at stage performances for the Austin School for the Performing and Visual Arts, a new private school specializing in a k-12 education with a heavy focus on the arts.
My hairstylist, Samantha, (yes I have a hair stylist), has a salon in Georgetown and she was doing a little advertising and needed a creative image to make sure that people knew that the ladies in her salon were fun and do cool haircuts. We shot Samamntha’s wedding in July and have been having our haircuts done there since then. It also ended up that I needed to do the ad design because Samantha wasn’t totally sure how to produce a press ready .eps file. I love designing stuff for advertising! Awesome fun!
