Marlee came to us from Lampasas for her senior pictures today. As soon as I got off the phone from booking her I looked up Lampasas to find out where it was. What a drive! Marlee had her hair and make-up done at the studio by Thelma SiFuentes, our resident make-up artist then we shot her at the studio and at the Pennybacker Bridge. Her session was one of the more creative one’s I’ve been honored to do lately especially the picture in the middle of the street.

Morgan came a long way for her senior pictures! All the way from Cincinnati, Ohio she came to visit family in Austin. While she was here she wanted senior pictures that were new and different from what every one else was getting in Columbus so she came to me. She oozed personality and was a lot fun and great to shoot. Awesome pictures!

Oddly I was doing work in Oregon for a couple of months and actually flew back for Morgan and a couple of other gigs so I actually came from further away than Morgan for her shoot in Austin. HA!

Along with my trusty sidekick , Megan, I shot Haley’s senior portraits at the Texas Capitol and at the studio! Haley and Megan knew each other from high school and had quite a dialog going on about dance at Cedar Park High School. It was like they were speaking another language. I suppose I am pretty out of touch with dance having two left feet and a big part of my brain that just can not understand rhythmic movement but they seemed to have a lot to say. Wow! Haley’s pictures were great. I think I want to photograph more people in dance!

Mayra was awesome! She took advantage of having our make-up and hair artist, Thelma, make her beautiful for her shoot. Boy was it humid that day. We drove to downtown and shot a bunch of fun stuff. Then back to the studio to grab the couch and out to a field of flowers for some wild shots with a dress that she was wearing to the prom which was a masquerade ball. Gosh, I wish my prom had been that cool. Then back to the studio for a little air conditioned studio session. I loved the shots in the field.

Katie’s mom contacted me through my blog chat thingy which has proven very useful for those curious about what I do and bewildered at how much time I obsess in front of my computer and online. And so we set up a session at the Capitol and had a great deal of fun! Then we went up to the studio to shoot some cool shots of dress that was awesome! Senior portraits are always so much fun here in Austin!

Celeste had her hair and make-up done by Thelma at the studio today which was awesome! Celeste looked great and we left to the Texas Capitol as quick as we could then down to the Amtrak station where we shot on the railroad tracks. We shot some great pictures at both places and I had an interesting senior experience shooting on the railroad tracks. As I sit on one of the rails shooting I felt a weird vibration and turned around to find a train coming up behind me. Wow! What stress! I kept shooting for a minute long then got out of the way. Celeste’s senior pictures turned out awesome!

Everyone seems to have a cool hat these days. I think I’ve lived in Texas long enough to have a cool cowboy hat. Seems it would be very appropriate. Joe’s senior pictures took place at the Texas Capitol and the 360 bridge. Today was a particularly windy day at the 360 bridge, like nothing I’ve ever seen before actually. It was good that Joe had short hair because if he’d had any more hair the wind would have really messed it up. What a great senior session!

Austin is the place for people to plan their destination wedding. I’ve done more weddings here in Austin than I can count for people who come here just for their wedding and then go back where ever they came from; Houston, Dallas, New York, Canada. This time it was a destination senior. Britanni was looking for something different and she found different about two hundred miles from her home at Rebel With a Camera. She lives in Conroe, a city north of Houston up I-45 a little bit and she came all the way to Austin for a little bit of a different flavor of senior portraits than what she could get, in Conroe. I think I talked with Brittani more than any other senior in a long time during her shoot. Megan was sick that day so I was without assistance on the shoot so I think I talked a lot more than usual. Brittani looked like a much younger twin of my good photographer friend from Oregon, Coral, which tripped me out to no end. We shot the capitol and at my studio in North Austin.

This dress is absolutely fabulous!  I love this ruffled material thing it has going on!  I wonder if they make suits for guys like this.  No, probably wouldn’t work for a guy.  Want some incredible senior portraits, give us a call at 512-377-6169!

What a fun senior portrait session this was! Most senior portraits are scheduled weeks or sometimes even months in advance. Kaylyn didn’t do that. She contacted me the week that we shot and got it all together around her job which was quite a feat! From the first shot she started out smiling a big happy smile which prompted me to ask if she had ever been photographed before. She hadn’t. Crazy! We shot the Texas Capitol, then downtown then up to the studio where we finished! What fun!

Melissa was really interested in shooting in the studio so we started out shooting at the studio then moved out to a park in Round Rock near the Dell Diamond to give her a little variety in her pictures. Awesome!
