Lauren was in theater in high school and introduced me to High School Musi-pocalypse, a beautiful concept in this world filled with vapid musicals about perfect looking kids who idealize high school in a way never actually seen at a high school. I love theater people because they are typically so animated and love being in front of the camera. It makes my job of trying to pull something out of a shy personality a lot easier with people who are cool with people staring at them already. Lauren was a pretty mellow theater performer and wasn’t over the top, but was just right.
When Katie’s mom, Sally, contacted us about senior portrait, she let us know that they wanted to use our fabulous hair and makeup stylist, Thelma. She really made Katie shine in and out of the studio. We finished up the shoot in downtown Austin and at the Long Center. Congrats to Katie! The world’s your oyster!
