Hillary and Michel found us through their friends Kelly and Dennis, whose wedding we photographed last March. We were excited to be photographing their wedding at Villa St. Clair, a venue we hadn’t had the pleasure of working at yet. Wow, what a gorgeous venue! The bridal room felt like part of a French palace, and the courtyard is a spectacular location to get married. Hillary and Michel said their vows during a dramatic nighttime ceremony with candles and twinkling lights, so we thought some dazzling romantics portraits with sparklers were in order. After a fabulous meal by the in-house caterer, the fun really began. Check out these antics on the dance floor! At the end of the night, Hillary and Michel left to an electrifying sparkler sendoff by their friends and family.
A few years ago a bride emailed us who was very unhappy with her wedding photos taken by a different wedding photographer in Houston. There were barely any pictures of Carolyn and Alex on their wedding day! So Carolyn hired us to do an after shoot, and was so overjoyed with the results and recommended us to her sister when it was her turn to get married. We had enjoyed getting to know Carolyn and Alex and were excited to be meeting her sister, Joanna, and the rest of the family. We met with Joanna and her lovely parents a few months before the wedding, but we didn’t have the pleasure of Joe until the wedding day because he was serving his country out of state. Joanna and her gals were ready right on time allowing us to take some shots around the grounds of the First United Methodist Church in Round Rock. I fell in love with the exquisite bouquets from Bouquets of Austin. The wedding ceremony went off without a hitch, and we made sure to great take lots of pictures of the bride and groom afterward! Then the happy couple were whisked off to the reception at the DoubleTree Hotel in Austin where their family and friends really showed us how much fun they could have.
